400-year-old Macau Fortress

Ascending along the east side of Senado Square, you will reach the Macau Fortress. Built in the 17th century to prevent Dutch naval harassment. The emblem on the gun barrel is said to represent Bailey Pegg, a British cannon foundry. But at that time, Macau had a famous cannon foundry called Bocca Tigris. Why use British ones? Looking at the "1860" engraved on the barrel, if it is the year, it may have been purchased from Britain as a replacement in the 19th century.
