The church in Macau known as "Sanbazai"

St. Joseph's Seminary and Church was founded by Jesuits and is called the "Shaolin Temple" of Catholicism by Macau people. The seminary is surrounded by walls and isolated from the outside world. The seminary is not open to the public. Only the St. Joseph's Seminary Church connected to the seminary can be visited. Its size is second only to St. Paul's Church (the predecessor of the current Ruins of St. Paul's), which was also built by Jesuits, so it is called "Sanbazai" by locals. The church is characterized by Baroque architectural style. The main altar is dedicated to the statue of St. Joseph, while the altars on the left and right are dedicated to Jesus and the Virgin Mary respectively.
