Hot Air Balloon in Luxor

Guests will be picked up from the hotel early in the morning (about 4-5 o'clock) in time to reach the sky to catch the dawn rays at the beginning of a new day. And you will have to stand in the same place throughout the entire journey, so prepare your filming equipment before departing from the ground. To date, there are more than 30 hot air balloons providing flights over Luxor. Flights are usually taken early in the morning and will be canceled if it is windy to ensure safety. The hot air balloon will fly along the west bank of the Nile River from north to south. Visitors will see the valley of the kings, the temple of Hatshepsut, the temple of Amenhotep III in the west. High above you will clearly see two strips of fertile green plains and a strip of barren desert. The Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III, seen from above. Built during the 18th dynasty of the New Kingdom, there are still two large 18m high stone statues left. Because the temple is located quite close to the river, annual floods cause this area to be destroyed faster over time. Altitude depends on the wind, so sometimes you fly so low over the sugarcane fields that it feels like you can touch them, and other times you can fly so high above all the other balloons. The best time to travel to Egypt and experience hot air ballooning is from October to March every year, avoiding hot summers and many epidemics. After a journey of about 45 minutes, you will land below the field where there is a small tea table with some fruit and wine and a certificate issued by the tour company to congratulate visitors on completing the flight.
