Crazy! The first snow on Mount Lu is so beautiful that I kept stomping my feet in the snow!

Who understands, family! I've been waiting for the first snow on Mount Lu for so long, and I finally caught it. Seeing it with my own eyes, I was speechless from the beauty, and my phone ached from taking so many photos—I just couldn't stop! We set off early from the foot of the mountain, and the higher we went, the thicker the fog became. Just before reaching Guling Street, tiny snowflakes suddenly started drifting outside the window, and I excitedly shouted out loud! The moment I got off the car, I was stunned—the entire Mount Lu was wrapped in a thin layer of snow, with delicate snowflakes hanging on the branches like sprinkled sugar frosting. The rooftops were also lightly covered in white snow, and the mist floated around the mountain like a scene from a fantasy drama, so unreal! Walking down the steps, the snow fell on the stone slabs, crunching softly underfoot, cushy and not hard on the feet. Occasionally slipping a bit when not stepping firmly was actually fun. The pine trees by the roadside were bent under the weight of the snow, which kept falling softly. I caught a few flakes in my hand—they were cool and melted instantly. The air was filled with the crisp scent of snow and mountains; breathing it in made my nose itch from the cold, but the more I breathed, the more invigorated I felt. I just couldn’t stop taking photos! Whether it was the old houses on Guling Street or the small pavilion in Huajing, the thin snow cover created such an atmospheric vibe. The photos came straight out of the camera without any editing. Standing anywhere in the snow, with the misty mountains and snowy trees in the background, it was like having a built-in filter. The only downside was the strong wind, which made my hands red and freezing, making it hard to press the shutter. Still, I pushed through and took dozens of shots, afraid of missing any beautiful scenes. When I couldn’t stand the cold anymore, I ducked into a small roadside shop and bought a cup of hot ginger tea. Holding the cup warmed my hands, and one sip warmed me from my throat down to my stomach—it was so healing. The shop owner said we came at the perfect time; this was the first snow of the year, just the right thickness, not slippery but perfect for photos. If it snowed more heavily, the roads would be hard to walk on. By evening, the snow slowly stopped, and the fog cleared a bit. The sunset cast a soft golden glow on the snow, and the tree shadows reflected on the snow-covered ground, so gentle and beautiful. Sitting on the viewing platform, looking at the distant mountains—half wrapped in snow, half hidden in clouds—I didn’t even dare to breathe loudly, afraid to break the peacefulness. I originally just wanted to try my luck to see the first snow, but I gained so much more. The first snow on Mount Lu is a hundred times more beautiful than I imagined! Walking on snow, watching the frost, taking beautiful photos—my hands hurt from the cold but I was so happy. This trip was truly worth crying over, and I’m already looking forward to coming back for the heavy snow next time!
