At the western foot of Mount Lu

Shimenjian is located at the western foot of Mount Lu, known as the 'West Gate of Mount Lu'. It consists of peculiar peaks, strange rocks, flying waterfalls, clear pools, and secluded caves, and is acclaimed as the 'Supreme Beauty of Mount Lu' and 'The Number One Scenery of Mount Lu'. Many poets and scholars from past dynasties have flocked here, such as Xu Xiake, Bao Zhao, Li Bai, Bai Juyi, and Yuan Haowen, leaving behind numerous immortal poems and essays. Taking the cableway to Shimenjian, one can only see the waterfalls and other scenery by walking down to the foot of the mountain, which requires ample physical strength.
