Yaoshan---I borrow a breeze from the mountains to clear my worldly worries thousands of times over

Yaoshan was originally called Shiren Mountain, which should be a memory for many people from Pingdingshan born after the 1980s. Yaoshan, located in the western part of Lushan County, Henan Province, lies in the eastern section of the Funiu Mountains. It is commonly known as Shiren Mountain because there are many strangely shaped rocks resembling human figures. The scenic area features towering peaks, a forest of bizarre rocks, ancient pines reaching the sky, strings of waterfalls, flowing springs, mountain flowers, red leaves, lakes, a sea of clouds, and rare animals, as well as numerous cultural landscapes, forming a complete scenic system. It is known as 'Zhongyuan's Unique Beauty' for its combination of 'majesty, danger, elegance, strangeness, and tranquility'. To get there from Pingdingshan by car, just navigate directly to the Yaoshan Scenic Area parking lot, which takes about an hour and twenty minutes. After the Yaoshan toll station is the Yaoshan service area, where you can enter to view the Zhongyuan Big Buddha from a distance. After buying tickets at the ticket office, you can choose to walk to the mountain entrance (about a 30-minute walk), or take a shuttle bus to the mountain entrance (the bus ticket is 35 yuan for a round trip). The entrance to the mountain starts with very steep steps (a total of 456 steps). The roads in the scenic area are all steps, some of which are very steep, with angles reaching 70--80 degrees. The scenery in the scenic area is beautiful, but most of the view from the Queen Mother's Sedan to the West Viewing Platform is blocked by plants, until you reach the West Viewing Platform, where the view suddenly opens up and the charm of Yaoshan is displayed before your eyes. From the West Viewing Platform onwards, it's all about the scenery. The Qinglong Back is definitely worth experiencing, and the best views of Yaoshan are also on this section of the Qinglong Back.
