May Day Travel Itinerary: Bai Miaohe Town, Huanggang – A Glimpse of Beauty Along the Way

As the wheels rolled over the winding mountain road, I caught a glimpse out the window. A village with white walls and black tiles nestled quietly in the folds of the mountains. An unknown river flowed quietly in front of the mountains, using sparkling light to paint the reflections of the blue sky, white clouds, and mountain mists. The wind sieved dappled sunlight through the fresh greenery. The bleating of sheep came from afar. A woman bent over in the vegetable garden, her red headscarf becoming the brightest footnote to the entire spring. A yellow dog dozed in the shade of a tree, enjoying the warmth of the sun. On the door of an abandoned wooden house, there was still a crooked sun drawn in chalk by some child. This peaceful and beautiful scene made me, a hurried traveler following the GPS, stop and linger. Perhaps the most beautiful scenery is never at the destination, but at a certain turn, when you roll down the car window – nature suddenly unfolds its unadorned face, which seems to have existed for thousands of years. Note: Bai Miaohe Town is located in Luotian County, Huanggang, Hubei Province, on the southern foot of the Dabie Mountains, and is known as the "Peach Blossom Garden of Jingchu". The ancient dwellings and landscapes complement each other to form a picturesque scene.
