#urbanwanderings One of my favorite urban wanderings is through the Hanseatic town of Lüneburg, a charming town built on salt, nestled between the Elbe River and beautiful heathland. The town’s rich history, stemming from its salt trade, is visible in its striking architecture, especially in the old town where red-brick Gothic buildings line the streets. Walking through Lüneburg feels like stepping back in time, with its medieval charm preserved amid modern-day life. The combination of eventful sightseeing, such as the German Salt Museum, and the relaxing atmosphere of the surrounding nature makes it a perfect destination for both exploration and relaxation. It’s an ideal getaway filled with history and tranquility.
