#hiddengems Located in the heart of Lucerne's Old Town and spans the Reuss River, the Chapel Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks in Lucerne. The bridge is one of the oldest wooden covered bridges in Europe and dates back to the 14th century. It has undergone several reconstructions over the centuries. In 1993, a large portion of the bridge was destroyed by a fire, but extensive restoration efforts were made to rebuild it to its former glory.
