Wat Visounnarath

Wat Visoun, Luang Prabang 🙏Or simply called "Wat Visoun" in Luang Prabang, is an ancient temple that is over 500 years old. Built by King Visoun, it is famous for both its architecture and the antiques inside the temple. 🌿Phra That Mak Mo has a unique shape, an inverted circle resembling a "halved watermelon", which can only be seen here. It was built by Queen Phan Tin Chiang, the wife of King Visoun. 🙏The ordination hall is designed in the Lanna-Tai Lue Sipsongpanna architecture. The roof is multi-layered, decorated with a gable (hong) and a beautiful Khong gate arch.
