I had the opportunity to visit Luang Prabang and stayed at The Satri House Hotel in the heart of Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This hotel was built in 1904 as the residence of Prince Souphanouvong of the Lan Xang Dynasty, who later became the first president of Laos. It was sold to a businesswoman from Vientiane in 2002 and was renovated until it became the hotel it is today. The surrounding atmosphere and decorations therefore look like a museum. However, the guest rooms are well-designed, very private, quiet, and have no noise from outside. The staff are very good at their services. I was very impressed. The accommodation also has free bicycles for you to borrow. You can ride around comfortably. 10/10.
