Wat Visounrat, Luang Prabang

Wat Visoun is one of the most important temples in Luang Prabang. It was built 500 years ago by King Wichulrat. Later, his queen built Phra That Mak Mo. Importantly, this temple used to have Phra Bang living there before it was moved to Phra Ho Phra Bang in the Royal Palace. Personally, I think that Phra That Mak Mo is the most beautiful and large. It is believed that it was modeled after Indian architecture. The temple is in the Tai Lue style. Inside, there is an old principal Buddha image with various antiques.
