Three-spire prang, Lopburi Province

#dreamvoyage Phra Prang Sam Yot, Lopburi Province • Phra Prang Sam Yot was built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII of the Khmer Empire around the 18th Buddhist century as a Vajrayana Buddhist site in the city of Lavo or Lopburi. • It is a complex of three Khmer castles connected by a gable roof facing east. • The main castle is taller than the other two. The castle structure is made of laterite plastered with cement and decorated with stucco. • During the Ayutthaya period, during the reign of King Narai, Phra Prang Sam Yot was renovated and repurposed to be used as a Buddhist site again. • Currently, Phra Prang Sam Yot has been registered as an ancient site by the Fine Arts Department and is an important historical and archaeological tourist attraction in Lopburi Province.
