Popular Dinosaur Fossils at the Natural History Museum in the UK

The Natural History Museum 🏛 (Natural History Museum) Opened in 1881, the museum boasts a stunning exterior and houses approximately 70 million specimens across five major themes: entomology 🦟, mineralogy 🪨, paleontology 🐾, botany 🪾, and zoology 🐗. Among the most popular exhibits are the large blue whale skeleton and dinosaur fossils. The dinosaur gallery even features moving dinosaur models, which are a big hit with visitors. Upon entering the museum, the most striking feature is the blue whale skeleton. This 126-year-old skeleton, measuring 25.2 meters in length, is suspended in the museum, creating a truly breathtaking and spectacular scene. It’s also the most photographed spot in the museum. Other marine animal specimens are equally exquisite and educational, attracting many school groups on the day of our visit. The museum organizes its exhibits into four zones: red, green, orange, and blue. Don’t forget to check out the gift shop before leaving, where dinosaur-themed merchandise is particularly popular. 🗓️ Itinerary: Visiting the Natural History Museum is free of charge.
