Walking through Lisbon, the city on the hill

The alleys are all winding, and yellow trams rattle along the old stone roads. The walls are decorated with blue azulejo tiles, and the flower pots and sunlight hanging from each window complete the scenery. In Alfama, the oldest neighborhood, you can walk through the maze-like alleys that give you a sense of the Arab era, and from the hill of Castelo de São Jorge, you can see the whole view of Lisbon with its red roofs and the Tagus River.
