Red and yellow leaves intertwine, especially the two 500-year-old ginkgo trees in front of Wang Qiong Temple, glowing golden. For all friends traveling to Shanxi, don’t miss Jinci Temple in late autumn. Longshan Red Leaves Longshan not only has grottoes, but every late autumn, the whole mountain is covered in red, yellow, and orange leaves. It is the largest and most concentrated red leaf viewing area in the western mountains of Taiyuan. Taiyuan Grotto Temple Compared to the crowded Juwei Mountain, the Grotto Temple is much less crowded. Navigate to the Grotto Temple parking lot, then it’s about a 20-minute hike uphill. Here you’ll find not only mountains covered in colorful foliage but also a quiet ancient temple. It’s definitely worth a visit in late autumn in Taiyuan. Mount Tai Mount Tai in October is like a poem and painting. The maple leaves burn like fire, with dappled light and shadow. Besides the autumn scenery, the Longquan Ancient Temple and the Relic Pagoda on Mount Tai are also worth seeing.
