Baltic trip D2 - Leipaja, Latvia

After an exhausted day in Riga, picked up a car and drive 3 hours toward the west to Leipaja, the hidden gem of Latvia! Nestled on the coast of the Baltic Sea. The Naval Cathedral Church of Saint Nicholas and Karosta prison are interesting place to go. The Karosta prison was a military prison and kept its original layout and it’s guided tour only. You can even book a cell to stay overnight to experience the life of a prisoner. Surprisingly, there are around 5-7 bookings per week. The Leilpaja beach is a great place to relax, and highly recommended. A perfect ending for a day with a summer drink - aperol spritz.
