It is said that since before the establishment of the Sukhothai Kingdom😲 The history of the construction of the Phra Borommathat says that Somdet Phra Maha Thammaracha Lithai, the ruler of Sukhothai, invited the relics of the Lord Buddha to be enshrined in an underground cave by digging down into a cave and building a Phra Borommathat on top🙏🙏🙏 The original Phra Borommathat was not in the form that it is today. The original form of the Phra Borommathat of Muang Tung Yang was in the form of a rice sheaf pagoda, but later it was renovated by Phraya Taka. Burmese timber traders in the Rattanakosin period, before 2544, were Burmese-style pagodas. Until 2451, there was a major earthquake, causing the top of the pagoda to collapse. Luang Pho Kaew Sombun, the abbot of Wat Phra Borommathat at that time, was the head of the renovation and repair, as it is today. 😎📸 The temple has the following important places: 🐈🐾 The Royal Vihara is an ancient Ayutthaya period built of laterite and brick. The roof has 3 levels of staggered roofs. The gable is carved and gilded beautifully, unlike any other. Inside the vihara is the enshrined Luang Pho Lak Muang or Luang Pho To, which the locals like to call Luang Pho Prathan Thao, who is the sacred Buddha image of the people of Tung Yang. 😋 The main pagoda is a bell-shaped pagoda with a base like a stacked chopping board with 3 levels of staggered levels. The lower level is made of laterite. There is a small bell-shaped pagoda in the middle of all 4 corners. The chedi's chedi on all 4 sides enshrines a standing Buddha image in a niche.
