To you who are going to Lanzhou in June: Just came back from Lanzhou, here are some new tips to consider

I just came back from Lanzhou on June 15th, and I want to share these experiences with everyone 1. If you want to catch the sunset at the Suntai Pavilion in Lanshan Park, you should get on the bus by at least 7:00 because the road to Suntai Pavilion is really long. Recently, there has been road construction causing traffic jams. The sunset at 20:22 usually happens around 20:10. 2. Speedboats are more fun than sheepskin rafts: Everyone knows the sheepskin rafts on the Yellow River in Lanzhou are interesting, but the round trip from the Yellow River Sculpture to Zhongshan Bridge costs 100 yuan. The same distance by speedboat only costs 50 yuan per person, and it's less likely to get your shoes wet. 3. If you want to take photos on Zhongshan Bridge, I suggest doing it between 8:30-9:30 in the morning. There will be fewer people, the lighting is good, it's easier to get good photos, and it's not too hot. 4. The Mother of the Yellow River sculpture is not as close to the water as the sand sculptures in Zhoushan. It's on elevated ground by the shore and is actually quite small. 5. If you're a group of more than five visiting the night market, compared to Zhengning Road, I recommend the nearby Nanguan Street night market. The table meals like stir-fried bolas feel more authentic, there are round tables making it easier to find seats without having to share tables, and more locals go there. 6. Remember to book tickets for the Gansu Museum online in advance. The 9:00 session will have fewer people, or you can try the 16:00 session. 7. It's best to book a hotel near the Zhengning Road snack night market. There are many budget hotels and high-end hotels to choose from. After visiting the night market, it's perfect for washing up and going to bed.
