Langmusi Temple is located at the junction of Gansu, Qinghai and Sichuan provinces. It was built in the 13th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign. It is 3,480 meters above sea level. It was founded by the 53rd Ganden Saichi Gyaltsen Sanggay and has been supported and expanded by five Saichi Living Buddhas. It covers an area of 55 hectares. Langmusi is divided into two parts, one is the Langmusi Temple in Dachang, Sichuan, also known as Gelug Temple; the other is the temple in Gansu, also known as Saichi Temple.
