Gunung Raya - Langkawi, Malaysia

Gunung Raya is the highest peak in Langkawi Island, its height is 881 m. There is an observation deck on the top where you can see beautiful landscapes of the island. There are also a small cafe and a hotel on the top. We went there by bike and it was very convenient. There’s a good road leading to the peak with a parking lot. The road to the peak starts at the foot of the mountain on the western side. I recommend going there in the afternoon so you will have a chance to see a beautiful sunset! Some tourists like to hike to the top and I think it is a great idea too because you will have a chance to see more than 400 species of tropical plants, 230 species of exotic birds, insects, monkeys and other animals. #mountainview
