Legend claims that the lake bestows fertility upon barren women. The outline of hills and rocky outcrops on one side of the lake resembles the shape of a pregnant maiden lying on her back. The name of the island and the lake is attributed to the legend of a lovely fairy princess who married an earthly prince and got pregnant after drinking the water from the lake. Then you will get to explore other small islands and also a unique area known as “The Fjords” , a name given by the yachties to a general group of islands SE of Kuah and about 1 nautical mile from Dayang Bunting Island.
