It feels like you have flown to Japan to worship. The temple is open from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM (closed every Wednesday). On weekdays, you can drive up by yourself. But I don't recommend it because there is very little parking and the way up is very narrow. I recommend taking the temple's car up instead.
