Ngauruhoe, Mt. Tongariro, and Mt. Ruapehu) from the lake's south side. In September, these peaks were covered in white snow, and the majesty of the snow-capped mountains spread across the vast lake was breathtaking. I sat at a spot with a nice view by the lake, sipped coffee, and gazed at this natural masterpiece for a long time. Choosing this Tongariro view when booking my accommodation with my "TravelSupport" was a stroke of genius. Lake Taupo is beautiful on its own, but it shines even brighter when combined with the surrounding terrain.
