Lake Como

#mytraveldiary What struck me most about Lake Como was the tranquility. Unlike busy tourist cities, here life seems slower. I wandered into cobbled alleys in Menaggio, ate gelato from a small family-run shop, and watched old locals play cards by the waterfront. A boat tour took me past Villa Balbianello, where they filmed James Bond scenes — surreal! Hiking up the hills rewarded me with panoramic views of the sparkling lake. I’d say Lake Como is the perfect mix of luxury and authenticity — five-star hotels exist, but so do quiet, untouched corners. I’d return in a heartbeat. #mytraveldiary
