Personal Experience of Two Summer Family Trips to Laiyuan, Baoding 1

This year marks the second time we've come to Laiyuan for hot springs. Laiyuan is undoubtedly the best summer outing destination for people from Baoding. The last time we came was two years ago. Our family of four, spanning three generations, stayed at the Huazhong Holiday Hot Spring Town. We booked a family suite in the VIP building through Ctrip (which included breakfast for four and an additional purchase of four tickets to the Birch Forest Hot Spring Valley). Super expensive! But the environment was really great! There was even a pair of real black swans in the small lake in the yard. The family suite is standard for four people, which feels better than booking two standard rooms. The included breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of options! I wonder if the villas and courtyards in the yard are also guest rooms? The ones in the back seem to be residential areas, and next to it is the Birch Forest Hot Spring Valley. The building directly facing the main gate in the hotel yard is called Dingtai Palace. We stayed in the VIP building at the back, on the top floor of the ninth floor, with a wide view of Baishi Mountain outside the window. The scenery was pleasant, the indoor bathroom was clean and comfortable, and there was even a bathtub and a smart toilet. The lobby also provided umbrella borrowing services. Truly, you get what you pay for! On the second morning of our stay, it started to rain heavily. We had a buffet breakfast at the Baidu Restaurant in the town, took a bath in the room, and enjoyed the mountain view outside the window. It felt like being in a fairyland, incredibly beautiful (the top floor of the ninth floor of the VIP building in the town is really the best place for viewing, personally feel it's the best in the whole town, and the extra cost is really worth it).
