Kinkakuji - The Golden Pavilion of Kyoto

Kinkakuji or the golden pavilion is a temple covered in gold. It is a Zen temple located in northern Kyoto. It is built overlooking a large pond. The entrance fee to get here is 400 yen and are open from 9AM to 5PM. Apart from the temple, you will enjoy the beautiful garden. We went around mid November and we saw beautiful autumn leaves in different colors. You can find souveneir shop near the entrance and exit area. #japantravel #goldenpavilion
