Kinkaku-ji is simply amazing!

Kinkaku-ji temple in Kyoto, is a Zen temple in northern Kyoto whose top two floors are completely covered in gold leaf. Formally known as Rokuonji, the temple was the retirement villa of the shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu. Built in 1400s and it has been attracted by many people including a very well known writer, Mishima. Also this place is a major destination for tourists and travelers. In November and December, you will see lots of students with guides for school trips. Many sweet and souvenir stores near by. Easy to access by a bus from Kyoto station. must visit place! Kyoto, Japan! #japan #kyoto #kyototravel
