Hokanji Temple the landmark of Kyoto

Hokanji Temple (Yasaka Pagoda), along with Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, is one of the iconic landmarks located within Higashiyama district that is renowned for its well-preserved historical charming streetscape. It’s a very scenic pedestrian-only street where lots of tourists flock to for a photo opportunity. Tourists aside, it’s a very atmospheric street where you would enjoy strolling along the olden streets and enjoying its old world charm. The streets are lined with tonnes of interesting eateries, souvenir and gift shops that would keep you occupied for hours. We enjoyed it so much that we visited the destination a few times during our trip. Definitely one of our favourite places to visit in Kyoto. #passionpassport #gooutside #urbanexplorer #summervacation
