The most convenient and fastest way to get to Honmanji Temple from Kyoto Station is to take City Bus No. 7 or 205, which takes about 25 minutes. You can also take the Karasuma Subway Line to Imahatsugawa Station and walk along the Kyoto Gyoen National Garden.
