Royal Chill Zone

#springitinerary The Imperial Palace East Garden is low-key one of the most peaceful spots in the city. It’s not flashy or crowded, just wide-open paths, perfectly trimmed trees, and that classic Japanese garden calm. You’re literally walking through what used to be royal grounds, but now it’s open to everyone, and totally free. Back in the day, this whole area was part of the Kyoto Imperial Palace, where emperors lived until the capital moved to Tokyo in the 1800s. Now, it’s all about strolling, snapping pics, and soaking in the serenity. You’ll find seasonal flowers, stone bridges, and little ponds with chill ducks living their best lives. It’s a perfect break from temple-hopping or tourist-heavy areas. Not a ton of hype, but that’s what makes it special. it’s clean, calm, and quietly royal. Bring a drink, take a slow walk, and just breathe
