[Kyoto Prefecture] Kifune Shrine, the main shrine of the water god

Kifune Shrine is the head shrine of the water god, with over 2,000 shrines across the country dedicated to him. It appears in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, but it is not clear when it was built here. It is located deep in the mountains, and is famous for its riverside terraces in summer, when temperatures are lower than in urban areas. We visited in winter, so the air was very clear and we were able to experience a very solemn atmosphere.
