The bright red Torii gates stretch along the forest path, forming a dream tunnel leading to a secret place. ⛩️I couldn’t sleep in the middle of the night. The low temperature of about 5 degrees in the early morning couldn’t suppress the urge to go out for a walk. I set out from Kyoto Station just after dawn and took the JR Nara Line to arrive in less than 10 minutes. As expected, there are few people around at this time, so you can enjoy the quiet Torii tunnel all to yourself. Of course, in the end, a passerby passed by and I was able to take a photo with the Thousand Torii Gates successfully! ⛩️Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine of Inari Shrines across Japan. It enshrines Inari gods headed by Uga-no-Mikoto-Okami, the gods of agriculture and commerce. The shrine has a long history and is said to have been established in the Nara period. ⛩️Foxes are the messengers of "Inari God", so there are many foxes in Fushimi Inari Taisha, biting scrolls symbolizing wisdom, holding rice ears symbolizing harvest, granary keys, etc. The little fox amulets as souvenirs are super popular, don’t miss it!
