Hidden Gems in Kyoto, Japan 🇯🇵

Here are some hidden gems and less visited places in Kyoto. Save this guide for your next trip! 🇯🇵 📍 Matsuo-taisha shrine, located near Arashiyama. Take the metro about 30 minutes outside of Kyoto to get here. There were barely any tourists and it was very peaceful! 📍 Chomyo-ji ~ I stumbled across this small temple while wandering around the East of the city. It’s very photogenic and there was absolutely no one else there! 📍 Studio Ghibli Store is very close to To-ji and Kiyomizu-dera in the popular areas, but it’s slightly hidden away off the street! There are cute photo opportunities inside and so much merchandise! 📍 Ryozen Kannon ~ I also found this while walking around at night, so it was really cool with the lights.
