Elegant hotel next to Shijo Karasuma Station in Kyoto, Japan: Royal Garden

After staying at the #京都三条Royal Park Hotel for two nights, we changed our location and moved to the #京都四条Royal Park Hotel which was actually not far away. Moving from Sanjo to Shijo seems very close, but they are actually two subway lines, and you have to change lines at Karasuma Oike Station. For me, it’s okay since I don’t have much luggage anyway. The Royal Park Hotel in Shijo is smaller in scale, and its restaurant cooperates directly with the #进进堂 brand Le Bon Vivre. If you don’t want to eat breakfast, you can switch to the restaurant’s lunch and dinner. The lobby maintains its usual elegant style, but is a bit smaller. However, the service is just as friendly. When I checked in, not only did they let me check in early, they also gave me a birthday card and a small gift. It was such a surprise! Although I checked out on my birthday on June 8, and only requested a high floor when booking the room, I was still surprised by the attentiveness of the hotel receptionist. If it was the receptionist next to me, he probably would have ignored me. This time we stayed in a standard double room for three nights, which cost $6,000 excluding breakfast, an average of $2,000 per night. Checking the current room rates, it’s $4,000 per night! There is a large high-back sofa in a space of about 22 square meters, and the bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas. Upon closer inspection, there is no wardrobe. It turns out that they have abandoned the cloakroom and hung things directly on the wall, so that there is a more spacious space to use. How smart. The Sanjo and Shijo districts covered by Kawaramachi in Kyoto are both very lively. They are both in shopping districts with many shops and department stores. In fact, it would be more convenient to stay in the same hotel. However, I just like to try new things and consider the price on weekends, so I changed four hotels during my ten nights in the city of Kyoto!
