Autumn in Kyoto: Nanzenji Temple and Suirokaku

The contrast between the orange bricks and the yellow ginkgo leaves is wonderful. This is also a popular spot, so it's recommended to go in the morning! After seeing the Suirokaku, head to Nandanji Temple. You can climb to the top of Goho-ro, the tower above the Sanmon Gate at Nandanji Temple. Once you reach the top, you'll be treated to a spectacular view of Kyoto city and the surrounding sub-temples. However, the stairs are quite steep, so be careful if you have children!
