The best time to visit Kiyomizu-dera is at sunset!

Kyoto is known for its shrines, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple is one of the most popular! I've been there many times, but my recommendation is to go at sunset! Most shrines and temples close at around 4pm, but Kiyomizu-dera Temple is open at night (temple stamps are accepted until 4:30). The photo was taken at around 5pm in late February! You can get a beautiful shot of the sun setting in the west and the stage of Kiyomizu-dera Temple! It's also recommended to take a photo halfway down the slope from the main hall! *However, please note that the souvenir street in front of Kiyomizu-dera Temple closes early. #KyotoTourism #Kiyomizu-dera #Kiyomizu-Gojo #Kyoto
