Japan Kyushu Cape Toi

#Japan Attractions Cape Toi is located on the eastern coast of Kyushu facing the Pacific Ocean, at the southernmost tip of Miyazaki Prefecture. This is a place with few people and beautiful natural scenery. The grasslands around the cape are natural pastures where about 100 wild horses called Misaki horses live. This is a pure native Japanese horse and is designated as a "National Natural Monument of Japan". Since they were first raised in Mizakimaki (now Cape Toi) in 1697, they have lived a free life without being managed by humans for three hundred years. If you like horses, you should plan more time here, as this is one of the few precious places where you can observe wild horses up close. Cape Toi also has about 3,000 cycads (the plants on the left in Figure 2), a native species of Japan. Cycads are said to have not evolved since 200 million years ago, so they are called living fossils and are designated as "Japan's National Natural Monument." Cape Toi Lighthouse is one of the few lighthouses in Japan that you can walk into. It is a beautiful lighthouse with superb views both from the outside and from the inside looking out. From the Toi Cape Lighthouse, which is surrounded by cycads, you can have a panoramic view of the entire Pacific Ocean.
