Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, Kurume One-Day Tour

To go to Tenmangu Shrine, you need to get off at Nishitetsu Dazaifu Station. We have purchased the sunq pass, so we took the bus. Then we strolled to Tenmangu Shrine to pay homage. The first stop was Kurume Castle Ruins. There is no castle tower or palace here, only the remains of the castle stone wall, the Sasayama Shrine built in Meiji 10 and the Shoichi Daijoin Inari Shrine. The Sasayama Shrine is dedicated to the Arima family, and the Arima Family Memorial Hall is also set up in the castle ruins (closed on the day). This place is not as spectacular as the Morioka Castle Ruins and is sparsely populated. We also met two Hong Kong tourists. It is very suitable for children to play snowball fights in the castle ruins. After playing enough, we walked along the Chikugo River to Suitengu Shrine (Sohongu Shrine). Founded in 1190, Suicheongu Shrine is the patron saint of smooth sea transportation and is also known as the god of safe childbirth. Suitengu Shrine has a quiet environment and covers a large area. In addition to the main hall, there are also Maki Shrine, Water Shrine, Akihabara Shrine, Gardenia Nest (くちなしのや) and Maki Izumi-no-mori Memorial Hall. I also found that there is a riverbank with a ferry terminal and charming riverside scenery. Many Japanese also come here to pray for their families!
