Yunnan Nationalities Village

Yunnan, abbreviated as Dian, is a mountainous plateau with the southern extension of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in the north, including the Gaoligong Mountains, the Yunling Mountains and other huge mountain systems, as well as the Nujiang River, the Lancang River, the Jinsha River and other large rivers. The Three Parallel Rivers are in the south of the Hengduan Mountains. Yunnan is the province with the most indigenous ethnic minorities, the most cross-border ethnic groups, the most unique ethnic groups, and the most ethnic groups with smaller populations in China, including the Yi, Hani, Bai, Dai, Miao, Zhuang, Lisu, Wa, Naxi, Jingpo, Pumi, Achang, Nu, and Dulong ethnic groups. Yunnan Nationalities Village is located on the shore of Dianchi Lake in the southwestern suburbs of Kunming. It is a window to reflect and display the social and cultural customs of the 26 ethnic groups in Yunnan. It displays the architectural art, songs and dances, costumes, cultural customs, religious beliefs and living customs of various ethnic groups in Yunnan. The main attractions include the Dai Village, Buyi Village, Wa Village, Miao Village, Dulong Village, Pumi Village, Nu Village, Lisu Village, Manchu Courtyard, Wa Village Bai Village, Zhuang Village, Mosuo Folk House Yi Village, Naxi Village, Jingpo Village, etc. This is my third visit to Kunming. Last time, I mainly visited the Xishan Scenic Area, Longmen Grottoes, and Kunming Old Street. This time, I first checked in to the InterContinental Kunming. It was the Lunar New Year holiday, which was the season to see seagulls. It was so beautiful to walk to the Haigeng Dam by Dianchi Lake to see the spectacular and shocking Dianchi Lake, Xishan Mountain and the seagulls from Siberia. I also visited the Yunnan Museum, Yunnan Nationalities Village, and Guandu Ancient Town. What a wonderful time! I will definitely come to Yunnan and Kunming again if I have the opportunity.
