Compared to Jizu Mountain, I prefer Panlong Temple, a place where incense burns year-round.

🌈Highlights: In Kunming, when it comes to burning incense and praying for blessings,🕯 Panlong Temple🏯 is definitely a must-visit. Along with Kunming's West Mountain and Dali's Jizu Mountain, it is one of the three sacred Buddhist sites in Yunnan. Panlong Temple was first built in 1347 and has a history of over 600 years. At its peak, Panlong Temple housed over 1,000 Buddha statues. Although it may not be as grand as it once was, it is still one of the most prominent temples in Yunnan. Built against the mountain, the temple's halls and pavilions are arranged in a picturesque manner, with layered eaves and brackets creating a stunning visual effect.💭 Entering through the mountain gate, the first thing you'll see is the Guanyin Hall, its carved beams and painted rafters exuding a sense of history. Next, you'll encounter the Mahavira Hall, Patriarch Hall, Access Hall, God of Wealth Hall🧎‍♀, Doumu Pavilion, Jade Emperor Pavilion, Medicine Master Hall, and Marriage Hall. The entrance to the Medicine Master Hall is located about 200 meters from the Jade Emperor Pavilion, accessible through an iron gate. Inside, you'll also find the Leizu Hall, Qinggong Hall, and Marriage Hall.💕 To the left of the iron gate is the Wanghai Tower, which houses a giant three-faced Guanyin statue. Outside the tower, on both sides, are the Twenty-Four Dharma Protectors. These twenty-four statues, each with a unique posture, are incredibly lifelike. From the top of Wanghai Tower, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Panlong Temple and the original landscape of Jinning. The first is on the side of the main gate for CNY 5/person, and the second is at the Medicine Master Hall for CNY 10/person. 🚗It takes about 1 hour to drive from the city center. There is a parking lot at the main gate of Panlong Temple, and the parking fee is CNY 6/vehicle with no time limit. 🚇Public transportation: Take Subway Line 1, exit from Exit B of South Bus Station. There are many buses to Jincheng under the bridge. Just tell the driver you're going to Panlong Temple.
