📍Guandu Ancient Town This Guandu is not the same as the other Guandu. In front of Miaozhan Temple, the 'first of the six temples,' stands the earliest and most ancient Jin'gang Pagoda. The square in front of Miaozhan Temple is filled with scenes of citizens singing, dancing, or playing chess, showing that the people of Kunming indeed live a leisurely, interesting, and lively life. 📍Army Lecture Hall Built in 1909, the Lecture Hall is a living history book of China's modern military development, nurturing countless revolutionary pioneers such as Ye Jianying and Zhu De. From their schedules and living environments, one can feel the soldiers' determination, fearlessness, and unwavering patriotism. The Lecture Hall is right next to Cuihu Lake. You can walk from Southwest United University → Cuihu Lake → Lecture Hall → Wenhua Lane, Wenlin Lane → Huanggong East Street → Kunming Old Street → Aolong Building, taking photos along the way. Of course, riding a small electric scooter is also an important part of city walking. 📍Yunnan Ethnic Village Many posts say that you can learn about the history and life of 26 ethnic minorities here, making it an encyclopedia of ethnic groups. But in reality, it is just a large commercial ethnic theme park and not a true reflection of the lives of the indigenous people.
