Kumano Shizi Rock, the Castle of Demons.

The Lion Rock and the Oni Castle in Kumano City are part of the World Heritage Kumano Kodo. Starting 200 million years ago, sea breeze erosion and earthquakes formed a tuff landscape with strange shapes. The unique and bizarre rocks and steep cliffs are as frightening as the legendary "ghosts". Lion Rock, two kilometers away from the Ghost City, is the silhouette of a 25-meter-high mountain. It looks like a roaring lion looking towards the sea. It was formed by years of weathering, and its posture and expression are lifelike, which is truly a masterpiece of nature.
