Beautiful Temple with Great Views

Another popular excursion location when cruise ships stop at Port Klang is Thean Hou Temple. This temple officially opened in 1989, built by Hainanese living in Malaysia. It is dedicated to Chinese Sea Goddess, Mazu (媽祖), she is also referred to as 天后, Queen of Heaven, hence the name of the temple - Thean Hou Temple. The prayer hall houses three altars. The altar on the right is dedicated to Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy. Tian Hou Niang Niang is in the centre while Shui Wei Sheng Niang (the Goddess of the Waterfront) is at the left.
