[Selected by a former Malaysian resident] Top 3 recommended afternoon teas in KL

If you come to Kuala Lumpur, you should definitely try afternoon tea! You can enjoy afternoon tea at luxury hotels cheaper than in Japan. By the way, in Malaysia it is called high tea. Here are three recommended high teas chosen by a former resident! [1.THIRTY8 Restaurant, Bar & Lounge] RM118 The view is just amazing! I made a reservation for a window seat, so I was able to enjoy my meal while looking at the Twin Towers. The price was relatively reasonable, but the portions were large, and they served everything from appetizers to dim sum, so I was unexpectedly full. The scones came with four types of cream, and ice cream was served at the end, so I thought the menu was well thought out. The lychee cake was really good. There was a wide variety of drinks, and they were free-flowing, so I ended up having several refills. There weren't many staff members, so it was a bit difficult to talk to them, but I was grateful that they actively asked if I wanted more. [2. LIVING ROOM] RM108 A casual hotel where you can enjoy high tea without pretense. Free flow coffee and tea drinks are available. I was very happy to be able to choose from a variety of coffee milks, but there was no black tea available. My personal favorite sweets were the taro coconut tart and the mango mooncake. The chicken croissant sandwich was also delicious! Two types of scones were offered, both of which were okay. I prefer the citrus scone. [3. TWG] RM48 You can also enjoy afternoon tea at a tea specialty store from Singapore. It's several times more affordable than in Japan! It's also very filling, and the cost performance is outstanding. The yuzu mango coconut cake had an elegant taste. I chose the truffle sandwich, but the fluffy brioche-like bread had a slight sweetness, and I was full just by having it. You could choose from three types of macarons, and they were all good. My favorite was the purple passion fruit macaron. It was really filling, so I think it would be good to order one of the afternoon tea sets and share it with someone. If you're traveling, you want to eat something delicious!
