The Most Historic Part of Kuala Lumpur

#tripxplorproject On a wonderful day, I visited one of the most attractive areas of Kuala Lumpur, Merdeka Square and Masjid Jamek. Generally, Kuala Lumpur is a city that never becomes repetitive for you, and even if you visit one place every day, it will be new to you because of the weather, amazing people, and a lot of spots that you could not find last days. Merdeka Square and Masjid Jamek are not exceptions. When you walk on the street, it seems you are walking on history. I could imagine Malaysian people from 100 years ago, how they could achieve their independence, etc. The atmosphere is so friendly; a lot of tourists are taking pictures or visiting these buildings, and one of the most interesting parts of this journey is trying delicious food around these places :D. The architecture of this area is unique and very special. Masjid Jamek was KL’s main place of worship for Muslims until the National Mosque - Masjid Negara - opened to the public in 1965. The style is a combination of Islam and ancient Moorish (originating from North Africa, as well as parts of Spain and Portugal). In most Malaysian historic structures (instead of those buildings the British or Portuguese built), you can see Islamic design elements.
