🏰✨ Wawel Hill & Castle

Kraków’s heart beats quietly on Wawel Hill. In summer, the climb is gentle, trees full and green, and the castle sits above the Vistula like it’s always been watching. You hear birds before footsteps, and the old stone feels cool even in the warmth. The air smells faintly of river and roses. 🌳🕊️🏞️ Inside the Wawel Castle, the silence wraps around tapestries and marble like a hush of memory. Every room feels lived in by ghosts, not spooky, just present. We stood in the Cathedral for a while, watching the light slant through stained glass. Somewhere deep beneath, kings are buried. And yet, the world keeps going. 🔔👑🪞 Afterwards, we sat on the grass just outside, overlooking the river. Families rode bikes below, couples drifted by on foot, and someone strummed a guitar a little out of tune. The sun slipped down slowly, like it wasn’t in a rush to leave.
