It is one of Krakow's landmarks. The upper floor of the Cloth Hall is also the home of the 19th-century Polish Art Gallery (Galeria Sztuki Polskiej XIX wieku w Sukiennicach). The Textile Hall was once the center of international trade. Many businessmen come here to discuss business and trade. During its Golden Age in the 15th century, the Sumire was a source of imported goods from the East including spices, silks, leathers and waxes, while Kraków itself exported textiles, lead and salt from the Wieliczka Salt Mine. The products sold in the Textile Hall today include tourist souvenirs, amber and some handicrafts.
