The Shikoku Temple Pilgrimage, also known as "Shikoku Henro," connects 88 temples across Shikoku. Within the temple grounds, the thousand-year-old camphor tree and stone Buddha statues imbue the place with a serene timelessness. 2️⃣ Kotohira Shrine [A Thousand Steps to Overlook the Seto Inland Sea] Kotohira Shrine holds a revered status in Japan and is famous for being the guardian deity of maritime safety. After entering the main gate, you'll pass through layers of greenery 🍃, stone monuments, and torii gates. Climbing the 1,368 steps, the observation deck offers a stunning view of the uniquely shaped Mount Sanuki Fuji and the Seto Bridge! 3️⃣ Hashikura Temple [Tranquility Above the Cable Car] Located in Miyoshi City, Shikoku, Hashikura Temple may not be widely known, and there’s little information available online, but it’s a delightful hidden gem. The highlight is taking the cable car 🚠 through the beautiful forest to reach the secluded mountaintop.
