Mantanani Island - Malaysia

Mantanani Island is a group of three islands northwest of Kota Belud, 80 km from Kota Kinabalu. You can go diving or snorkeling there. This place is famous for dugongs - sea cows (duggons). The main entertainment for those who travel to the Mantanani Islands is diving into the depths of the sea. Snorkeling is available even to kids and the elderly, because it uses only a mask, a breathing tube and fins, while diving (deep diving) requires more serious equipment in the form of scuba gear and a special wetsuit. Usually people come here for 2-3 days, which is enough to enjoy the underwater beauty and sunbathe on the white sand. There are two small villages on the island that provide tourists with lodging for the night in light wooden houses.
